ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
As a child, Amanda G. Stevens disparaged Mary Poppins and Stuart Little because they could never happen. Now, she writes speculative fiction. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English and has taught literature and composition to home-school students. She lives in Michigan and loves books, film, music, and white cheddar popcorn. Amanda's first novel, Seek and Hide, will be available September 15, 2014 from David C Cook.
ABOUT THE BOOK
If you'd like to read the first chapter of Seek and Hide, go HERE.
A lot of people think that Stephen King writes horror, but books like this are horror to me. Reading it gave me heart palpitations. I am not kidding. I could not read this before bedtime like I normally do because it gave me nightmares. Why? Because it is realistic. I guess that is why they call it speculative fiction.
Did that stop me from reading it? No because it is so well written that it sucks you in so that you need to know what happens. A United States where they do not allow us to practice our faith or have our Bibles does not seem unrealistic considering all the things we see every day in the news. In light of all we see around us this book seems more fact than fiction.
If you have a Kindle you can download it right now for only $3.99! I wouldn't wait. Download it NOW.
"Seek and Hide" is my first "Must Read" book of 2015. I loved this one so much I have already downloaded book 2, "Found and Lost" and pre-ordered book 3, "Take and Give".
