Army Andy - Strong and Courageous

Andy is making progress since his surgery. In true Andy style, he is determined to do more than is expected of him. When physical therapy arrived, they wanted him to set up on the edge of edge of his bed for just a moment. On his first try he sat up for 5 minutes... they say it usually takes about a week to work up to this amount of time.

Movement in both of his arms is definitely improving. His team of doctors are planning a move to a normal room as soon as his pancreas inflammation is under control. Right now he is still fighting the fever. The feeding tube also complicates this matter.

Pretty soon there will be decision to be made about a rehabilitation center. Daniel and Andy are considering all the options and they will be making a section. The options are San Diego, Tampa and Maryland. They are going to need prayers for wisdom.

The reality of the situation is starting to hit Andy as the medication is clearing from his system.
Pray for Andy as he processes this and remembers that God is with him.

Yes, yes, yes! This is the BEST news to wake up to! My prayers for Andy will increase because the "dealing with it" -- both what happened, the reality of it, and the aftereffects, are likely to take a long time and maybe (though I hope not) take him down some dark paths in his mind (the what-ifs). I'm sure he'll come through just fine; he has mucho strength and courage and many, many prayers holding him up! Thanks for the update!
